A bit late posting this, but super pumped to have one of my logos selected for Logo Lounge 9. This was created for Outnumber Hunger, a program started by General Mills and Feeding America that helps feed local families at food shelves across the nation.
I've had wintertime on the mind up here in MN. It's been a bit too cold the past week or so, but when you get those sunny days in the upper teens and twenties you remember why winter is so great. Those are the days when you want to be out skiing in the crisp winter air. On the really cold days you have to just hunker down, grab a cup of hot coffee and make some cool shit! Here's a few quick things I've done on those cold days.
We had another awesomely comfortable sweatpants day at Curb last week. I made some fun little Instagram posts for the occasion with that dry, campy, vintage humor that only Sweatpants Day can embody.
more to come...
I had to do a little something special for the wild and crazy Steve Sahli, aka Steve Sahliami. I've worked with Steve at Curb for the past 5+ years and we've had some great times together. Steve's been at Curb for 10.5 years, along with his wife Julie, both on the account side. They will be missed around these parts, but we wish them luck starting a new chapter in South Carolina.
We slapped the label below on a big ol' 3 pound meat log as part of Steve and Julie's going away basket.
Love the simplicity and cleverness of these. See more here http://davidolenick.com/
Made me laugh, but oh so true.
General Mills interviewed me on their blog for this year's retro boxes. Check it out here: http://blog.generalmills.com/2014/02/retro-cereal-boxes/
The retro boxes are out in Target stores! My buddy Pat snapped this pick at a Bloomington Target. More images coming soon.
Turned out awesome!
The guys at Fourth Dimension CNC did an awesome with the diecut for the signs. They use a water jet cutter that drops 60,000 psi of cutting force! Crazy to think you can cut through steel with water.
Working on some nifty new restroom signage for Curb.
First freelance project of 2014! Pumped to be working on the identity for my friend Nichole's endurance coaching business. TNC stands for Team Nichole Coaching, a name that evolved from her journey to the 2012 Olympic Trials. Just a sneak peek, full project coming soon!
